“NOT OK” is “OK”

Sam and Tina have recently moved in to their new house… it is their dream house and they are super proud of what they have built together! They were personally involved in every choice that was made for the house, right from the color theme to the door stopper….everything! Whenever they have guests over, they showcase their house with a lot of pride and happiness!!

All good so far….but while they give their house tour to their guests, Tina keeps focusing on the few things that were not done correctly, like a little POP crack on the wall or the Paint chip at the corner or the door that owing to moisture in the air, does not shut properly…. These are the things that the guests would not even notice as these are too small to acknowledge in the bigger pretty picture…. but Tina can’t help herself most of the times, which is a pity!

Coming to the point now….Tina and all of us need to learn one basic fact of Life that “NOT OK” is “OK” too….Life is another name for Compromise, for Understanding, for Adjusting, for Being Compassionate and most importantly for Being Grateful. Trust me, being a Perfectionist can be tough, not just on your family, your staff, your colleagues, your friends…it is the toughest thing you can do to Yourself! Learn to Let Go of things that don’t matter, learn to Laugh and Smile more often, don’t take everything to your heart and most importantly learn to ENJOY Life!

Please remember that in Life, not everything is in our control and we can manage only about 50% of the circumstances and then, we have to make the choice for ourselves – We can choose to be Happy and Content with what we achieve; or we can keep complaining and spread gloom around for us and our loved ones, one colleagues, friends, peers, etc.

To conclude: If you wish to cherish your Life and create beautiful memories, learn to overlook things sometimes that are beyond your control – learn to live Life wearing a beautiful smile ๐Ÿ™‚ on your face and bear abundance of compassion and love in your heart for everyone. Because that is what matters the most….chip on the wall is better than a chip in your heart or in the heart of your loved ones, trust me!

P.s. Happy New Year to all of you! I have missed your comments and your love during this long gap. Promising myself and to all of you that I will return with more positivity blogs this year!
