Tina spoke to Susan on the phone and expressed that she was not feeling fully prepared for the competition. I could only hear Tina’s side of the phone conversation but through Tina’s changing expressions, I could make out that had said something that calmed her down.
Not all mentors are angels!
A mentor/teacher’s job is to make you learn — not just to be good and nice to you. Otherwise, you’d end up resenting them for that too.
